2004 f-250 6.0 problems
I'm Mark and I'm new to the site. I have a 2004 F-250 super duty with the 6.0 engine. The truck has 121,000 miles and is my daily driver. most of my driving is from my small local town into the city. It has had oil and fuel filters changed at 3000 mile intervals. I replaced my air filter two months ago.
The past weekend I was entering the interstate from the off ramp and accelerated somewhere between 50-65 mph and had large amounts of black smoke poring from the exhaust. The engine acted as it wanted to die but would catch its self keep going. The truck ran poorly the rest of the way home about 7 miles or so.
The next day I cleaned the EGR valve which was fount very dirty. I also had the truck put on the scanner at auto-zone and it threw three codes PO472, PO299, and PO603. On the way home the truck acted up again acting as it was to die and black smoke present. The engine displayed this behavior a total 2 times after having the codes checked. The truck has now been parked until I find out more and prevent anymore damage.
Thanks for the advice.

I also failed to state that the truck is 100% stock.
