2003 6.0 Crank, No Start Hot
So I have browsed for a few days now and come across tons of forums and articles about this same problem with very few of them posting a solution.
I have 2003 F350 6.0 Diesel and after a long day of driving/pulling around 6000#+ I shut my truck off at a convenient store, when I walked out around 5 minutes later the truck cranked over and wouldnt start. After checking for leaks and problems I failed to find anything wrong so I tried again after about 30 minutes of sitting and it started up with around 6 seconds of cranking. Took the truck home and checked everything again with no signs of trouble anywhere and continued for the next 3 days to run the truck as normal. I started the truck and drove about 12 miles and shut it off, tried to restart about 5 minutes later and it just cranked and cranked, took 4 hours this time to let the truck cool off enough to fire up, then it starts normal.
My problem is the truck starts perfectly normal when cold (100 degree weather) but after any amount of run time the truck doesnt start.
I had it hooked up to a scanner and the FICM reads 48 volts key on, engine off. ICP reads 0 (max 468 when cranking) IPR reads 15 key on engine off (88% cranking). I replaced the ICP because it was leaking and retested with new one, same results. I also pulled the IPR and tested it, appears to be working correctly and the screen was clean, nothing visibly wrong
My next test is the air test which I will be doing tomorrow evening (8-30-13)
Does anyone have any advice on what may be the problem?
Could this be a bad EGR cooler or valve? Maybe the standpipes or injector O-rings? HPOP? Oil cooler perhaps? anyway I can perform more tests? I am ultimately trying to avoid throwing parts at it.
Thank you for any help in advance and when I get it fixed I will post what the culprit was.

You almost definitely have a High Pressure oil leak, it is internal so you won't see it. On the 03 it is most likely an oring on top of injector or the oring on top of the HPOP tube that feeds the IPR and ICP sensors. when you do the air test you have to energize the IPR valve to close it up and don't leave 12 volts on it for too long or you can burn it up. pull the oil fill cap and the vent tube off of the drivers side valve cover so you can hear which side the leak is on, if it is an oring on top of injector you can replace them. I don't know of any local shops that carry them but you can find kits of them on Ebay, the kits you can get at Ford don't have the top oring in them.

Thank you Bobfbigman, I spent a good part off the afternoon trying to track down the fittings to make myself a hook up to the icp port but I was unable to find anything that would work. So currently I am at a standstill until I can get one of those. And I need to do some research on energizing the ipr closed, do I just do it for 10-15 seconds then let go or will it just open as soon as I take power from it?

So today I was able to track down the fittings for the ipc sensor (oil pressure test kit from harbor freight). I am not thinking I am energizing the ipr right, I apply power to the red wire and ground the yellow with red stripe and it turns on my fuel pump.
Any advice? I get a slight air noise coming out of the oil filler and breather port using 100PSI shop air in directly through the ICP sensor (without touching ipr)
