Default Black Smoke during acceleration

Beginning to smoke during moderate to heavy acceleration below 2500 RPM's.

Power is off as well.

I've been taking the battery cables loose twice a day because my alarm keeps triggering.

Should I spend my time figuring out what the smoke is?
I'm planning on checking my grounds, since the alarm just started going off out of the blue a month ago. I was thinking of upgrading the ground cables to something larger and see whether the alarm magically fixes itself. I know I'm hoping for a lot.

your resetting the computer every time you take the cables off, not giving it enough time to relearn.

Thanks, bobfbigman,

I thought that might be the case, but didn't know how long it took to relearn.

I'm only giving it 40 minutes and 23 miles....probably not long enough, huh.

Silly me, all I need to do is plug in my wireless adapter and start up the Torque App on my phone. It has a display that shows the results of the current drive cycle.
Duh.

Is it done with the fuel calibrations when the drive cycle is complete?
