Again your confusing way of talking about is a little difficult .
I would start with looking at the shift fork , on the axial , sometimes you can get slug in that area , so pull out take a look , clean & lube , normal maintainance anyway .
Then make sure that you are getting vacuum & electrical to each component , all the way back to shifter / switches , using test lite & vacuum gauge .
Every time you take something apart , clean & lube , linkage whatever , dielectric on electrical connections .
