Default 06 crank no start

Year of truck: 2006

Motor: 6.0 l

Mods: banks fuel improvement

Anything you've done recently: changed EGR valve, oil tubes, Fuel filters

How is the truck primarily used: construction/work truck

When did the issue start, and if it's intermittent or all the time: Driving down highway, loss of power and died.

Anything else that might pertain to the issues at hand: no oil pressure on gauge while cranking

Any codes: none

Waiting for the rain to stop to remove the oil filter to see if the bowl will fill. Not sure what else I can check.

This is my first diesel and first time working on a diesel I have no books, and living outside of the US so parts are getting hard to do on short notice.

Could be a couple of things. You can narrow it down by doing a leak test on the high press. oil system. Youll need to be able to energize the ipr closed to leak test.

Ok I pulled the oil filter and changed it with an OEM filter. while it was out I pushed the plunger down with a screw driver had someone else crank. had no oil flow into the bowl.

Oil level was good.

Sounds like the lube pump has went out. Likely broke the gear.

Sent with a Droid RAZR in one hand and 14,000 volts in the other.

Is there a place to order this on line? Not being in the US it is a bit hard to hard to get find parts.

you need to do some more testing to make sure that it is the lube pump. last one i bought i got straight from ford and it comes with the timing case and all the gaskets because usually they crack the case when they break. it was kinda pricy tho.

ull the pump cover that is behind the ballancer and then remove the gears to see if they are dinged up or have scars in them, if so then the gears are bad. If they are broken then check he case to make sure it is not scarred up or cracked. You can get just the geas if everything else is good. Check out Ebay for international sellers.

Below the oil pump housing. U can see the plug looking up from the ground at the balancer, its right behind it with the plug pointing to the pass side and downwards
