Default Crank no Start

here is the story, I shut off the truck one day and it has not started since, replaced the IPR still not good, here it the stats on the FICM and such

FICM voltage 48 good
FICM Sync is 1 good
ICP under cranking 1200-1500
IPR 40% under cranking

it is trying to start but just does not make it
there was a lot of work done to the truck and it looks like it was a half *** job

6 injectors were replaced head studs, egr delete, coolant filter, blue spring, and exhaust.
since all the work the truck has not been the same nothing but problems

any ideas as the worthless mechanic is now out of business.
I am not sure how much of this was properly done or if any

really need some help here

Thanks Guys

pull the cap off fuel filter and check for fuel when key is turned on. next if you have fuel then pull the air cleaner so you can spin the turbo with your fingers/on the nut on shaft/ and see if the turbo is free, a stuck turbo will keep it from starting. let us know what you find out and we will go from there.

Hi Bob, thanks for they reply. I checked for Fuel and that is ok also checked the turbo and its spin's freely with no problems. it does try and fire and when it does it rocks from side to side pretty hard. don't know if that helps any but though I would through it out there.

Mine did that when I had a bad injector, it would rock side to side and had a hell of a lope.

I am guessing the only way to test this then is a contribution test at the Dealer?
it is just really odd, it was running great, parked it at work, went to leave and nothing.

do you know what kind of headgaskets were used? is any coolant being pushed out of degas bottle? Is cooling system building pressure while youre cranking?

I am not sure what gaskets he used but the kit was from RCD best of my knowledge. it does not seem to building any pressure in the bottle. I had another guy ask me to check if there is any bubbles in the upper fuel bowl during a crank by jumping the starter so it does not start but just turns over. its to see if there is exaust gas is getting into the fuel system, have not done this one yet but i dont think its the problem. I was also adviced that even though the FICM is showing 48 volts that it still could be bad, maybe one bank is failing or something. what a pain

usually those kits have the onyx or diamond gaskets. but, if they are popped bad enough to cause that big of a compression loss youll have some pretty big pressure in the bottle from just cranking. You can look in the filter housing for bubbles while cranking or disconnect the fuel feed lines to each bank at the filter housing and put balloons over the ends and see if they start to fill up with air while cranking. Are you getting any kind of smoke while cranking? can you hear injectors clicking?
