stuttering

stuttering
so i have been researching my stuttering or bucking issue. Seems a lot of people have the issue, only under load and only going up hill! There was even a TSB on it. Anyway at least i have a direction to head in. causes ranged from egr, pcm, vgt sloenoid, connecting hose issues, and possibly the fuel tank lining.
my question is if i put an egr delete on it, will that coke up my intake manifold? or does the delete 'delete" any exhaust gases from passing thru the manifold.?
I have cleaned the egr once not long ago, and replaced the vgt solynoid. seems like some have do do this quite often and some never at all. go figure.
also, would the vgt solynoid cause the buck or cause the stuttering if the boost got too high from my programmer or does it just control the vanes on the turbo?
thanks JR

Your manifold will tay much cleaner with the EGR delete, the delete is actually a er cooler delete so there is no way for exhaust to get to the intake anymore. Your programmer shouldn't caus the bucking unless it is faulty, these turbos can put out 36psi. I had a bad injector that would only miss/buck/ when going up a good hill or if I was towing a pretty good load.

yeah, one guy posted the same issue. had all kinds of work done, then finally replaced injectors and the issue went away. injectors tested good on the computer but not under load. did your injectors test bad? how did you know it was the injectors?

vgt relearn
what is a vgt relearn.
Did the trucks with the bad injector throw a code? or did you run an injector test/which one to find the bad injector.
Im going to buy the delete kit with the new oil cooler and leave my egr plugged in for visual smog.
As far as knocking out the cat how do you do that? a long bar and just bang away at stuff? Ive never seen the inside of one.

Vgt relearn let's you relearn your turbo to your driving style. Its simple to do and only takes about 30 min. To do.I have done this twice on my truck due to the shutter sound and lack of boost. Google vgt relearn for 6.0 and you will get the steps. It might not fix your problem but its free to try. In my case it worked. Good luck.

After replacing my second egr cooler I also cleaned the turbine and unison ring assembly. The truck ran great for about forty miles while going through diagnostics on my hypertech. Still showing p401 insufficient flow. replaced DPFE sensor and waiting delivery of new egr valve. How many miles on the engine have you cleaned the turbo?
