6.0 reliability mods
Can anyone give me a list of the mods that are needed for an 04 f350 powerstroke to make it more reliable, to make it more like the 7.3l engine? I am fairly new at this so please try to refrain from too many abbreviations cause I wont know what the hell you are talking about . Also Where do i get this done? I talked to a Ford dealership the other day and they had no clue what I was talking about. Lastly, any rough numbers on cost? Is this like a 1-2k job or like a 4-5 job, to get it all done ?
Thanks a million

Head studs with new head gaskets, blue fuel spring upgrade, new oil cooler, egr delete, coolant filter kit, stay on top of your oil and filter changes, use rev x oil additive occasionally. Youll need to go to a diesel repair shop that is pretty familiar with powerstrokes and expect to pay around 3-4k possibly more.

Thanks millerboyz,
So I am trying to figure this all out and deciding on a gm or ford diesel and am pretty well torn right down the middle. It seems to be a nail in the foot of the fords that to make them reliable you need to drop 3-4 k on them at purchase to not lose sleep. Do you know of something similar that needs to be done to the gms? I am not brand loyal and this will be my first diesel so I need to know what I'm in for. Also, I'm not really looking for any super high hp mods and gains mainly just good mpg and reliability is key.
Thanks a ton man
