I have to fix a 4.5l powerstroke next week and want some info before I dive in. It's in a cab over ford truck. I already found that cylinder 1 is a dud. i ran it with glow plug out and ran completely the same as with it in. fuel comes out, glowpug was soaked and has 300 lbs of compression. Gonna try swapping injectors 1 and 2 thursday and see if it works better. see if the #2 exhaust port runs cold. any other ideas let me know. I don't usually work on stuff this small. mostly DT 408, 466, and mack E7s. Thank you

Also truck runs no codes so i think its mechanical, like the injector is stuck open

 

 

Dead injector, when you pull the injector make sure that tiny nut is on the bolt that holds the magnets to the side of the injector, if its missing you might get lucky and its sitting on top of the head
