Default 03 6.0 egr valve yes or no??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2003 6.0
I got done doing a egr delete along with headgaskets, headstuds, coolant flush, coolant filter, coolant bypass/recirculation, oem gaskets, blue spring yada yada yada

My question is I currently have the egr out and the block off plate in. Is there any reason for an 03 to keep the egr valve in??

I have an sct programmer so the code doesn't bother me even though i guess the 03 wont throw the light on.

I wont be getting any custom tunes just yet since I'll be driving the truck home from CA to MN this weekend and I dont think just going down the interstate at 80 for 1900 miles is a good way to havethe tranny "learn" my way of actual driving once I get home.
I havn't asked Matt @ gearhead that question maybe someone can chimE in on that as well.

Mainly I just want to know with my egr delete for an 03 should I leave the valve in or not? benifits..cons? I have a new egr valve to put as well FYI if that matters.

on some trucks the egr has to be plugged in for the fan to work properly, but I think that is for 05 and up trucks, mine was unplugged for 200k with no issues.

CONS: Your VGT may not cycle properly!

That's why I had to get a used one from a local shop and plug it in/lay it on the intake. If you unplug it and your turbo doesn't cycle at idle, you NEED IT.

All trucks that I do the egr delete I leave the valve no matter what its not doing anything just sitting in the hole for the reason of some trucks vgt won't cycle corectly and some trucks the fan won't cycle correctly like stated before
