Default advice please

Just bought a 06 f350 with 238000mi. it came with a aFe intake, MBRP 4" exhaust, and Edge Evo. tuner. The dealer said it had the egr delete and studded but it was not done. He lied to me. how did this thing last without those being done? Are they getting 500000mi out of these trucks?

Do you know if the cooling system has been flushed?
Do you know if the oil cooler has been replaced?

It's my belief that a lot of head gasket failures can be avoided if the cooling system is serviced more regularly than what was originally recommended by Ford. I flushed mine at about 60,000.
And then replacing the oil cooler is another way to avoid the dreaded EGR cooler issues.
I replaced my oil cooler at about 85,000 miles.
I don't have studs, run a moderate tune and see no issues with the head gaskets after 100,000 miles.

generally if the thing isnt tuned to the moon it would be fine as far as being non-studded and if you took care of it but.......MOST people dont replace the bolts with studs untill something bad happens like a blown head gasket....and then 8 outa 10 times with that 1 or more of the heads are junk/cracked then you have to drop another $1500-2000 for a new head, so why not do preventative **** spend $3500-4000 and have someone bulletproof the **** out of ur truck then ur golden!
