6.0 starting issues
ok here goes im new to actually asking for help on this kind of thing but have looked on here to solve problems myself before. i have an 06' ford f250 6.0 psd, with an edge juice 3 stage chip, afe pg7 cold air intake, and afe large bore 4" turbo back, cat delete complete exhaust. I have recently developed hard starting even after my engine has warmed up and been driven. it cranks and cranks and cranks then when it engauges and begins to start it sputters like its not getting fuel, and finally fires up...and i swear my truck does not act like it is tuned up anymore, so any help would be appreciated thank you....

Maybe a high pressure oil leak? My 06 did that several months ago and the first time the dealer said it was a fuel pressure regulator. They fixed it and sent it back and two days later it did the same thing. Finale diagnoses was a dead HPOP. Good thing I had an extended warranty. Dealer fixed it and have not had those issues any more. Of course I dont have any programmers on truck yet but in process of gettting one installed. I may be totally wrong about your problem but it is a thought.

You are right, if it doesn't want to start hot is almost definately a high pressure oil leak, rather then fixing only the 1 thing that is leaking not it is best to replace all the known issues at once. It will cost around $140 for the parts, you are going to need -standpipes and dummy plugs=$102/ you will need STC fitting for HPOP=$38 from Tousley Ford.. this is a very common problem and When people ask about buying one of these trucks it is something I will always recomend that they take care of, it will happen to all of them eventually unless the updated parts are taken care of. I will dig up the part numbers for ya.

The only reason I let the shop do it was because I had a warranty. Had not been for that I would have took the job on myself. Getting ready to change all my injectors, egr delete and change oil cooler. I will do all this work myself. Just like bobfbigman said you learn to work on these baby's yourself and it will save you tons of money
