07 v10 to 6.0l
ok guys i love my 6.0l hands down my dad has a custom ordered 07 f350 that he custom ordered from ford in 2007 with a v-10 now he wants a diesel but doest want a new truck just curious to the extent of putting a 6.0l in his current truck or how much it would run to put one in i did a ford cummins conversion 2 years ago and have alot of fabriction and truck building skills

It's very possible. I know there were some guys that bought beat up 5.4 gas trucks and made them into 6.0's. Not sure how hard it is though. At that point if I was going through with an entire swap, I'd probably pick something else to put in, and I'm not even a big fan of swaps. Can always look at the DT360 (basically Internationals version of the 5.9 cummins). Carson Stauffer has a ton of the stuff to do the swap.

well he used to have an 04 6.0l and an 06 6.0 before he bought this 07 v10 from evreything i read and people i talked to it would be a cake walk with a donor truck for swaping everything electrical and i love how evryone these days says drop a cummins in it well its funny i been there done that am over it built a few 6.0ls and tell people its your truck do what you want but i wont put another cummins in a ford my dad has the smae frame of mind i do when i comes to that

That's exactly why I suggested the DT360. Hypermax says the stock gaskets and headbolts are good to 300psi and the stock crank is good to 3000hp. Makes the cummins look like it belongs in a Toyota hilux.
I hear you though, the 6.0 will likely be the easiest swap. What trans is behind that V10 now? You going to look for a donor truck then? That'd likely be the easiest.

6.0 conversions doable but would have to have a wreched truck. No fab needed really other that acouple spot welds for the hangers for the pcm and bat trays. Full wiring swap would take time. Id consider finding an early 6.4 and dropping it in. be uncharted territory and wicked cool when done. Altho a turboed V-10 would kick *** too!
DT360 is a fun little motor. Done some sup up work on them in peoples motorhomes/busses but from what I've seen the heads arent too prone to power. Some serious porting would fix that and then of corse you've got that bosch P-pump on um so fuels no issue.
They are however a mile long!! Dont know measurements compared to a cummins but they are less than 5 inches shorter than a DT466 and almost as tall. Since you'd need a doghouse, I'd consider a 466, altho heavy!, 500hp and 1500lbs of torque by dabbling in the pump would make up for it!
