2007 6.0 wont start :(
Help!!! So i have a 2007 6.0 f350 and it will not start! I just changed the starter today and nothing. it was puffing white smoke like a stuck pig and i know that can mean many things. but it was also bogging out and wanting to quit running. the check engine light was on for a couple days but then went off. starting to feel super frustrated as i do not have alot of money right now and cant really afford to take it into a shop for them to putts around and charge me top dollar. someone please help guide me into the right direction or maybe give some ideas on what it could be or what my best bet is!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!

Well untill the pros of the 6.0's get on here to give you the best advice i will do my best, if you can get a scanner or find someone with an OBDII so they can read the ICP (injector Control Pressure) and(Injector Pressure Regulator) IPR pressures along and see what the CEL codes are which will point us to the correct direction. Even you fuel pressure you need 55 PSI of fuel and I believe 1000 PSI of oil to start, if you cannot get either they you will have a no start. Generally the ICP will fail and you can unplug it and see if it will start if it does you have a bad ICP.

Did this happen all at once or was it getting worse and worse?? Have you tested the FICM? there is a writeup on how to do so at the top of the 6.0 section, one of the best places to start. The FICM controls the injectors and if it is weak then it can be very hard to get started, there are know problems with themthat can be repaired for alot less then a new one will cost and even live alot longer then a new one..

Yeah try getting the codes read first, that would be a good place to start, it will help point us in the direction to look.
How old are your batteries? I would suggest having them load tested. I would also suggest testing the FICM per the instructions Bob referenced. Those are the best places to start.
When you're cranking to start it, does any smoke still come out? Does it continually puff smoke, or nothing at all now?
Any mods on the truck?
