Spongy brakes after bleeding.
#11
Well, I went a checked all the calipers the one I replaced had a small leak at the line connection. I corrected that, I went and tried to use a bleeder I can use to just pull the fluid but it to damn cold to get a good seal on the hoses. So i started doing in the conventional way. I had alot of air in the front left line and bleed it quite a bit. We got some brakes.
It will be hard after we bleed then after we start driving it, the pedal just gets looser and looser, but we got it to where its more consistent instead of just gettin lose.
I will admit I did undo the bleeders to compress the pistons because if I dont It just seems I cannot get the piston to go in even with a brake pad. I geneally undo the bleeder as im pushing then close it off wile its still pushing fluid. I just dunno, were suppose to haul cows in tomarrow dunno if thats gonna happen, wish we just took it somewhere to power bleed it.

Well Ive replaced 2 outta four, I just did it to the other one to play it safe, I did not need to break the other one, when i did the front I didnt use the bleeder and the piston was already busted before I got to it. But when I was bleeding brakes I neglected the resevoir, and they guy pumping kept pumpin after the warning came on dammit But we gave up today, were gonna take it in to get power bleed somewhere, I got it to have decent brakes but Im not haulin 20,000 pounds of hay with it! wish i had a fifth wheel hitch in my truck. oh well.
