Straight piped P-max here....sounds just like other described about. Nice low RPM whistle that is heard all over. Hitting higher RPMs say 2500+ is all V8 motor rumble. At cruising speeds it's a lion in the grass just hit the pedal for the roar.

I love my straight pipe jet sound, but hate it when towing the super loud drone is awful, hard to have best of both worlds i guess, wish i could find a happy medium

Put a big straight through muffler on it. It still sounds good outside the truck and to people standing on the corner, but in the truck it kills the drone.

Try driving with stacks... it gets obnoxious sometimes.

I have a early 04'(build date 08/03), is it the 03 10 blade? or would it be the 04/05 13 blade mentioned above?

If it doesn't have an ear piercing scream, it's an 04 compressor. Trust me, once you hear an 03, you will never forget it.

Any brand muffler you recommend for free flow?? I had a dynomax, not free flow.
