Default 6.0 wont drive past idle. Bad hpop? Any suggestions?

I have an 04 6.0. It starts good, idles good, but the second I give it power it wont go past idle. It starts clunking like when someone doesn't know how to drive a manual correctly. I have good fuel pressure. I replaced the ficm a year ago. Maybe its the hpop? And suggestions and ways to fix this problem would be much appreciated? Thanks

Did it come out of the blue? Any mods? Any work done recently? Does it sound like a transmission issue, or an engine issue? How do you know you have good fuel pressure? Are you watching a gauge?

It did just come out of the blue. It didn't die when I would drive. I had to limp home at idle cause when I gave it any fuel it would start to clunk and not go anywhere. But I fixed it. It was a wet electrical connection at the ficm. I have the edge w/ attitude chip. The connections are not sealed to well so water somehow got in there and fried the chip. I removed it and all good. Hope they replace it for free. I've only had it a year.

Ideally, they'd just refund you and you can go buy something else...

True dat.. How would you water proof the electrical connections. Wrap them with some HVAC metal tape? Or some plastic with zip ties on the ends and maybe some silicone?

Which connections? I'd just use some dielectric grease. Most of the external connections on these trucks already use some sort of a weatherpak, which is water tight/resistant.

How the heck did you get water up under the FICM? I've sprayed under the hood of mine with a hose to clean it off and never had this problem...
