Default 2006 6.0 vibrations

I have a 2006 6.0 powerstroke King ranch crew cab FX4. Its all stock as far as tires and a lift kit. I have a feeling that it may have some kind of tuner because it gets really good fuel mileage compared to previous trucks. It now has a vibration around 50 mph when I accelerate. It ony does it the first 5-10 min of driving then clears up and runs really well. The idle sounds good to. I've read it could be an injector, FICM. Any input would be appreciated.

Does it feel like a skip or a miss possibly? When I first felt these misses I thought it was a transmssion issue, but I didn't know anything back then. More than likely it's sticky injectors.

Order of operations for checking this out:

Have batteries load tested. If one is bad, replace BOTH.

Then test FICM (test procedure at the top of the 6.0 page, easy to do)

If both of those test out, and you still have it, buy two bottles of rev-x oil additive and dump it in...

Report back here.

Thanks for the advice I will check it out. The batteries are new but I will check them any ways. I ran off road fuel in the truck for a few months do you think that might have screwed up an injector?

I was told that before. I'm thinking its probably is sticky injectors. I'm going to change oil and put some rev x and clean the EGR and go from there.

Are you making an ASSUMPTION that he drives it on the road like this? Do you know for a fact it's not a farm truck?

I had always thought that but I was told by a Ford guy that the Fords could detect something in the red fuel and it would shut the truck down.

Another BS story from the dealer??

I think most of the issues on the newer trucks is that a couple years ago the red stuff was still LSD, not ULSD. They were designed to run on ULSD, and if you tried running anything with a higher sulphur content there was issues with the emissions systems (DPF problems). I don't think it's an issue anymore because you basically can not get 500ppm offroad anymore, at least not in the US.
