Well then start off right, get yourself a monitor solution first. Check the ECT/EOT delta to see the health of your oil cooler. Check your FICMv, Check your FP, Check for stored PCM/TCM codes. Find out if there are any current issues, then while you make out your shopping list to fix any current issues, find out what OEM parts need to be upgraded (STC, turbo oil feed/drain, FPR spring, CAC metal pipe, ect, ect). Find out if you already have head studs or EGR delete.

Then, while you have motor apart to fix any issues, upgrade the OEM parts and/or aftermarket parts. After your motor is up to par, then worry about getting a programmer. BTW, for the 6.0, SCT with custom tunes is the way to go.

You need to see where your at, before you can move forward.
