Default anyone use their sinister coolant bypass head for ECT sensor?

Just trying to confirm whether or not the coolant bypass filter head could be a suitable location for my ECT thermocouple. Has anyone run this setup and confirmed correct temps? Also, suitability and accuracy for the common billet oil filter cap location of EOT thermocouple? Thanks guys

I know a lot of guys use the oil cap, I plan on doing so myself.

As for the coolant bypass... it will work, sort of. As the filter becomes clogged coolant stops passing through it, so it will give false readings. This is usually how we can tell the filter is clogged, put your hand on the billet head, if it's HOT then coolant is going through it, if it's just kind of warm from being in the engine bay... well nothing is going through it. I suppose your gauge could tell you the same thing... just keep in mind it may not be terribly accurate if the filter is clogging.
