Glowshift guages...poopoo?
Hey guys, im cheap. I have looked a bunch over old posts about these guages but everyone has an opinion. I wanted to put it as plainly as possible. Y or N?. planning on EGT/EOC/ECT/FP . are they worth even spending the cash.
What do you think? YES or NO.
Considering they are 200$ cheaper than any other and contain all necessary parts.

You'd be hard pressed to find gauges that DIDN'T contain all necessary parts.
Are they cheaper? Yes. Is it for a reason? Probably.
I know one thing that would irritate me... the don't dim down. From what I understand there is a resistor or something you can tie in so they will dim to 1/2 brightness or something when you want, but I like that my gauges dim up and down with my factory stuff.
As for their quality... seems hit and miss. Some guys have them and have had good luck, others can't keep the things functioning right.
Gauges are one thing you get what you pay for. I prefer Isspro EV2's myself.

Also a lot of guys in my local club have been using these Hewitt gauges: Hewitt Industries (Gauges, Thermocouples, ECM's)
Also wanted to add another couple cool features of the Isspro stuff... they have theatre lighting/dimming, so when you shut the lights off, they dim down slowly. Completely unnecessary, but so cool. They also have built in warning lights in some of them. I know my fuel pressure has one, so when you drop to a pre-programmed number, a little yellow light bulb lights up in the bottom of the gauge. I actually have the programmer to do these now too. It's cheap to get.

I know a lot of guys run the Edge Insight setup, you just plug all your sensors into the module. I like the cockpit feel of all my gauges though. Lol.
Mike do you know what the EV2 (EOT/ECT/EGT/Boost/HPOP/Fuel PSI) warning lights are preset at? I do love the slow dim-out on them. Do you know if there is a way when I click the ignition to have the pointers do a full sweep and then come back to whatever the reading is? Sorry,
