Default Diesel fumes through a/c?a

I have had my 05 f250 now for about three months and I'm not one to use heat or a/c much I have been running it lately and have noticed a strong diesel smell in the cab when it is on. Is that normal or what could be causing it thanks guys.

U say diesel fumes, are u referring to the smell of raw fuel? Could be a fuel leak. If items smell of exhaust fumes I would bet it is cracked up pipes

What does that cost to fix and what else could it mess up. Also how do I diagnose it. Would now be a good time to get the egr delete since its coming apart anyway

There's two different outcomes here, but you need to diagnose it first. Throwing parts at it wont help.

Is it raw diesel like from the pump kind of smell, or does it smell like fumes, like burnt diesel?

When my excursion is stopped at a long signal I get exgaust fumes in the cab as well. I would have to guess that mine is exgaust fumes based on the sweet smell. It does not smell like raw diesel. I am curious too, If anyone has sugestions.

sweet smell is usually coolant. Raw diesel smells like what comes out of the pump at the fuel station. Burned stuff like what would be coming through up-pipes is a burnt diesel smell, like what normally comes out the exhaust. That would be cracked up-pipe most likely. If it smells like raw fuel it's usually a leak up by the filter housing. Neither one of them smell "sweet"
