Nah, they're pretty sturdy surprisingly haha. The 7 pins are usually pretty easy to do, most of them the resistors you need to solder are already exposed. All the 4 pins I have to do, I have to cut all the orange staking compound out of the way to get at them.

Well I found the issue inside of the FICM. The "IC" chip has exploded. Don't quite thinking soldering will fix this without getting a new chip which is seeming hard to find. No one in town has one. Even after so, don't know if it would be possible to replace on my own. Even if I have my brother in law do it for me. He doesn't have all the proper tools for it.

Can you post a picture for us? I can probably sell you a junk FICM as a core for some parts if you want? Or I'd buy yours from you if you don't want it. Let me see what part you're talking about though. I've got a few older 7 pins sitting on the shelf here I will most likely never use for anything other than parts.
