Default Power slider idea

Has anyone ever thought about putting the power slider off of a explorer sport-trac in a super duty? Thinking this would be awesome but I can't get any dimensions for the ST window anywhere, thoughts? Ideas? Uproars of laughter?

Why? Why not just get the power slider out of a super duty, seems like it would be a little easier... If I remember right, some of the stuff needed is already in the truck. I think the track may be there, you might just need the motor.

True, but I want it to open more and not double the tint on one side when it's open (5% tint) plus it would be awesome to have something different

So you want all the dirt out of your bed in the interior rather than some of it

The only thing I haul in my truck is ***, and I'm getting a cover, so for me it's a cool upgrade. Not discussing its practicality for other people, just need to know if it's possible...

Its possible if you have the time and money. I know some people did this with a chevy avalanche. Those back windows can be completely removed and were replaced with the full roll down window. Might have to get some custom windows made or yours cut down. Wiring it would be a piece of cake. IMO

I guess I didn't give it any thought to the explorer having a different slider setup. Anything is possible with time and money but this wont be an easy project.

I think the Sport Trac window drops down into the space of the cab walls right??

Couldn't tell ya, I think it would end up behind my ext cab back seat and in front of the actual cab wall

I've been toying with the idea for a couple years now. I even priced out the parts from the wrecker for toyota pieces to do it.

Just finishing up my cummins conversion, so this might be my next project. F350 with a full power rear window would be the cats ***!!!
