when i took that motor it there was only like a half gallon of oil in the pan so that might have been an issue

Ill try to get my bro in law to send a pic of his Odo on his 2003. I know he has over 300k miles on it and it still runs fine. If I get the pic Ill post. As for my truck. Its about to tick 90k.

That's surprising... since usually when they run out of oil, they don't run. Need oil to fire the injectors...

My buddy has an 05 with more miles than that. I helped him do headgaskets at 275k, it had all 8 original injectors, original oil cooler, original egr cooler, and had been on nothing smaller than a 37" tire it's entire life. He replaced one injector, and did studs at that mileage, and last I talked to him which was like 8 months ago, he was over 300k already. Stock trans, stock rear end... bla bla bla, these are the trucks we NEVER hear about though.

5 sets of tires in under 100k miles, you do the math. I take care of it maintenance wise though, an since my warranty ran out, it's actually been pretty problem free for me... I will be doing studs soon one way or the other (I know I've been saying this for a while) and will document everything.

Most of my warranty repairs stem from the jagaloons working on it.

I know most of you guys have heard this from me time and time again, but owning a 6.0 has taught me a few things.

1) A warranty is only as good as the people working on it
2) You want something done right, do it yourself
3) AAA is your best friend! (this is kind of a joke, I had it the whole time I owned this truck and never used it once for my own truck!)
4) the 6.0's bad rep... stems from people not knowing how to diagnose anything properly and throwing parts at it. Of course you're going to spend thousands and have tons of down time when you don't know what the heck you're doing. READ, LEARN. This info is out there, there isn't much that hasn't happened to a 6.0 that hasn't been documented on the internet people!

Ok rant over!

It's Friday!
