Default Code P1102 - WTF ?

Truck was fine, i put in the Spartan Tunes... now truck triggered P1102 and CEL came on...

I tried to locate the MAF sensor but where the MAF was supposed to be truck now has a blocker plate, or so i beleive...

This is what the intake looks on the truck:

Any suggestions on how to fix this...

Sounds about right for the tunes and the intake. Going back to a stock intake would alleviate this. Or stock tuning. I hate K&N.

Never seen anyone just delete the MAF, that's really odd.

Did someone already do a coolant flush on this truck? Is that red coolant in there?

Is red coolant bad for a 6.0 PS ?

It probably has had some coolant system work before because the filler box for the coolant is the wrong one i'm told... hence the black marker...

I like to use Ford Motorcraft Coolant (yellow), can't go wrong..

And yes, K&N seems to be the most hated air intake around these parts.

Well no it's not bad, but what is bad is if it gets mixed with the gold Ford stuff. A lot of guys do a full coolant system flush, then just go with an ELC (extended life coolant) from CAT or Rotella etc, and the red stuff is quite popular, looks like someone might have already done that for you. If it mixes with the gold (if anything mixes with the gold for that matter) it will gum the crap out of the oil cooler and cause issues.

That bottle is fine. The min line is actually the max line, make sense? Only fill to the min line at the most. For a while Ford had a sticker they slapped on there to notify this. My truck got the black marker job from the local Ford dealer too, not that big of a deal as long as you know. I'm told they have new bottles with the new lines on them, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it just for that... personally.

Try running the truck stock and clear the code, see if it comes back. I know a lot of the earlier trucks with MAF and the butterfly valve always threw a code and a CEL with an aftermarket intake on.

ford was messing around with the use of the MAF, 03-early 04 have the MAF/ from late 04 to sometime in 05 it just has a temp sensor and late they went with temp sensor and a MAF sensor. The only reason these are on the trucks is to monitor EGR flow.
