could this cause these two problems?
Just changed my ipr and hpop. Actually runs now. Truck has 132,000 on her. I didn't get the driver manifold and y pipe tightened up fully so I can hear the exhaust leak when I get on her. Would that leak make my Turbo spool slowly then finally kick in after awhile? Also my AC is set on Max with the blower turned fully up. When I start the truck its blowing through the defrost. After about 30 seconds it'll come out the vents but isn't blowing as hard as it did before I changed the ipr and hpop. Could that exhaust leak have something to do with that also?

An exhaust leak will definately cause slow spool up, you are leaking drive pressure.
The air conditioning problem is a seperate issue, it is caused by a vaccum leak, there is a vaccum pump on pass. side fenderwell, follow all the lines to make sure none of them were knocked loose while you were under the hood. The caccum pump also takes care of the 4whell drive, vaccum pulls the automatic hubs in and if the oring or the bearing seal is damaged it can cause the air conditioning to go to defrost/ defrost is the default setting because for safety reasons it's the most important. Basically it's a vaccum leak, either a bad line or oring or just a loose connection.
Glad you got it running, should be nice and reliable for you now.

Here's how sensitve airflow to the turbo really is. When I was still running a Brand E tuner on my truck, I neded to go to the local dealership to have something or another tested. I removed the Brand E stuff and needed a pipe plug for the EGT probe hole in the left manifold. This isn't a very big hole, folks, and I had ZERO turbo on the way to the corner hardware store.
By all means, regardless of the size, an exhaust leak before the turbo WILL have adverse effects on your truck.

I got it tightened down finally. Had to wait for motor to cool. How long does it take to get the air out of the system after changing the hpop? I've been romping on it a few times and seems little slow at take off then second gear hits and she takes off nicely. I'm figuring it still has to be air in the system.

Alright, my issue now is when i am driving and take off from a stop at WOT, the truck takes off like normal, but the turbo is extremely slow to spool and when i have the windows up I can hear a massive air leak that sounds like it is coming from the driver side. I climbed under the truck while it was idling and could hear it faintly. I can't figure out where it is coming from. I made sure the y pipe to manifold bolts are tight and i made sure that the y pipe to turbo are tight also when i put the turbo back in after doing the hpop. When i pop the hood I can hear the turbo making a odd noise that it didn't do before. Could that be from an air leak in the y pipe? Cause i couldn't find anywhere it would be leaking. Or could this just be from air in the system still? I don't have a d@mn clue. After a few seconds the turbo fully spools and the truck just takes off like a bat out of he!!. But even then you can still hear the air under the front of the truck when fully spooled. I'm also getting black smoke from the exhaust when i give it throttle whether i'm starting to go or am already going. then when the turbo finally fully spools I don't get anymore black smoke. The mechanic in town scanned it for me to figure out the hpop was bad and he said apparently there is a programmer on the truck. I've had it for the past 8 months and never knew that. . So i don't know what kind or anything either. My guess is the last owner put it on there and just never took it off when he traded the truck in.

One of the quickest ways to know you have a leak is by the smell and even burning you eyes, the hardest one to get lined up is the turbo to Ypipe connection, sometimes you have to use your hand and put it near/without touching/ the connections to find it while it is running, often times when you are trying to feel around the backside of turbo your eyes will start burning from the exhaust so be warned. alot of times it make a hissing sound
