Excursion, 12 Valve, 2011 Front clip!?
The title may sound exciting, but this will be somewhat a slow build. I didn't post it in the engine swap forum because, most of the questions I may have will be leaning towards the excursion body and interior. I will start out with a summary of what I am shooting for, as well as a few pictures of the pieces that I have pulled together so far.
Shooting for 400 horsepower, And hopefully at least 18 MPG.
I need to keep it user friendly, since this will be a family vehicle more than anything.
A clean look, no more than 4" of lift. Possibly a kelderman air ride kit.

I currently have a 4R100 in the excursion, which was behind a V10. I doubt it will hold up long to the horsepower and my driving habits, so I am considering a rebuild or a different transmission, suggestions welcome .... All upgrades for this engine will be purchased from Mighty Diesel, as I have had nothing but good service from him in the last 7 years or so. Currently unsure on who to use; Destroked.com or Fordcummins.com the project is in gear, but I don't know which way to turn the wheel. Once it is up and running, Ill turn towards exterior as well as interior updates.

And so it begins!
My 40x80x18 shop/home is not quite complete, so I am currently using the bed of my trusty 92 ford as my workspace. 2000# jib crane is laying on the ground outside, and my bendpak XPR-15-C frame lift is on order! But for now, it's just tractors and truckbeds for one more month!
The donor truck I sourced it from had the 215 configuration, so I think I may be able to avoid buying injectors/DVs for a while.
