Default Cruise Control

Looking for advice on where to start, my cruise control doesn't work at all. Push buttons and nothing. Not a major issue, but would be nice to have. Thanks goal in advance.

If your cruise is controlled by vacuum there will be a large vacuum can under the master cylinder. Usually they rot out at the bottom.

also did you try checking the fuse? Just something to try if that wasn't it

That's also a strong possibility that the circuit has been interrupted, would like to know more about it so I can get mine going as well

there could be a clock spring behind the wheel , and it could be severed or seriously corroded or such ....

I don't see any vacuum stuff, only a cable coming off the throttle linkage going over to an electric box on the fender well. My springs and all that are good on the colomn, as I replaced the whole column because my bearing went out in it, so I'll check the wiring in and out of that box on the drivers side fender well.

Its not the vaccum canister your needing to worry about , first make sure the electrical is set and then worry about the Vac. can ... should be on the drivers side and tucked in near firewall ..... if you dont see any signal @ the master plug on column you will need to pull the Steering wheel ... contacts could be shot or the buttons are not good ....

I'll hopefully be checking this this weekend, with the family and sometime hard to do what I want when I want. But that's family gotta love it. Hahaha.

I know my spring are good because I checked them all when I had the column out to replace a few months ago. My cruise control didn't work with the old column either. I checked the fuse in dash and it tested good, so I'll have to figure out which wires are what and test the actual wiring out hopefully this weekend.
