Default Sorry for the delay

(Sorry guys.... I've been at it for almost a good 2 weeks already as Wisconsin summer has wound down and its time for garage and beer to once come together again in harmony.....)

HERES A RECAP:

Starting up again for the Wisconsin Winter.... sorry for the haitus guys.... but Warm wisconsin summers.... hot women, and cold beer only lasts for 3 months of the year up here.... so no garage time....

Anywhoo... were we go again...

AKA: Screw Leaf springs on a 2 ton truck.... lets make this baby ride like a caddy and have the cargo capability of a dump truck.... AIR RIDE 4 Links baby in the rear...this will make it air ride in all 4 corners.

I'll be using this kit.... but I still have to locate the shocks and airbags..... all you guys are talking about putting the bags ontop of the axle.... well I cant There isnt enough room between the frame and inside dually tire to fit an air bag (I only have 4 inches) also there is no even platform on the inside of the axle between the frame rails as the 14 bolt is 'offset' with its sleaves..... this being said I want to use the existing leaf spring mounts on the axle to permantley mount of the 4 link..... aka I dont want to weld on my axle...yet want to do something mroe then just a U bolts.... hence why a flat and a pin will positively locate it much like a leaf spring.

And here is what I was trying to accomplish with my behind axle shock and airbag mounts....

Something I should have done a LONG time ago....

Bring on Wisconsin winter now baby.

Big day today guys....

went from:

and

Sandblasting was cheap..... $50 bucks for all 6 of the wheels and 4 collars......

Will show how paint took later this weekend sometime.

We have a chance of snow tonight... and I would assume we got it as a few of my college buddies at the U of Minnesota (in minneapolis) got snow last night.... and we almost always get their weather 24 hours later (if the wind is westward)
