The air flow exiting the turbo is spiraling much like a tornado......
When it gets to the neck of the cobrahead....(aka the wide part....)
It can no longer have a nice perfect spiral flow anymore because the cross sectional shape of the pipe is changing as you go through the bend...
IGNORE the text on the picture but the flow diagram is correct....

As always... an update
Motor mounts front and rear complete..... front is rubber bushing mounted, rear is liquid lord mounted......
Also panhard bar mount redone and complete with a new joint vs. the heim joint.......
Enjoy
Much better panhard bar angle now at ride hieght. (note this one shown at slam.... the bar use to sit level at slam...)

Looking real NICE!
Are you going to have to do any mods to the cab firewall, or will it shoe horn in ok?
There are about three or four "Old Iron" builds here and at 4bt and they all making me real jealous!
Are you going with a nice steel/wood flatbed with a dump on this outfit?
Merry New Year!

Enjoy..... and as always....comments welcome!

I think I will end up putting a spacer pad underneath the rear flywheel housing mounts to lift up the rear end a .250 - .375" to both take a few degrees out of the drive angle as well as gain a little bit more clearance to allow the Cummins to shimmy n' shake at shutdown without having any interference issues......
