i'd check the glove compartment of the step-van and see if it has a G80 RPO code...

that can be bad.... and good...

hope it has a G80, that's the locking diff....

it has it's downsides though.... they have the tendency to go grenade on you if you have too much torque.... but that can be easily fixed with another kind of LSD...

Say hello to the new 1947 transmission...... 10 speed RT6610!

How are you going to mate that tranny to your 6BT????? I was under the impression those big trannys like that had SAE #1 bellhousings, and the largest bellhousing adapter you could get for a 6bt is a SAE #2. You gotta let me in on this, I want to put one of these in my project truck. I have a eaton FS 6 speed tranny bolted on right now, working on a clutch setup. Would love to go with a big truck tranny though!

GuyWithA24Valve 11-16-2010 08:11 PM

Just curious, how much did that 10 speed set you back? How many miles are on it?

beerbellykelly 11-17-2010 02:15 PM

looks like sae 3 the parts list for this truck is reading like the menu at my favourite resturaunt-superb.
if that is sae 3 then it should go straight into the 6bt,possibly just a simple spacer to back the input shaft away from the motor bell?
cool project.

johnjohn 11-17-2010 04:46 PM

Sae 3 is smaller than 2 and 1. That should be a Sae 1 on that semi tranny.
