fuel leak front plate 71 m818
not an emergency/new here...have 71 kaiser m818 ntc250 cummins, fuel running out of front throttle plate on mechanical fuel pump
will this have to be a rebuild or o rings/ something simple, and best place to send it if it's rebuild or where can I get a rebuild kit, "stock no blower" on this model, plenty of power as is,
North TX area thanks

The PTG fuel pump on your NH250 must be disassembled completely for just a silly o ring on throttle shaft. Since front cover of pump must be removed for this, front seals must also be replaced. Low sulfur fuels caused every single o ring in contact with fuel to shrink due to less lubricity. Highly recommend pump be taken to a Cummins fuel shop (Cummins Southern Plains) or most Bosch shops can do it as well if equipped. With no turbo on engine, it's not a NTC. Also will need a special 5/8" j or s shaped wrench to remove pump from engine if you are DIY. Every single pre '91 NH or NTC had to have this done when new fuel came out at 500 PPM and now is at 15 PPM sulfur content, so full rebuild recommended.
