Default pump driver longevity

I have a C2500 pickup that has had the relocated pump driver, put it in about 3 years ago. I'm getting hard starts and random stalling again....same symptoms before putting the relocated (behind front license plate) unit in. How long do these drivers last you guys on average? I'm on a tight budget and found a Dorman unit for $130. Bought the kit from pmdcable.com last go round, with the cable and heat sink. Can't remember the brand of driver it has, anyone use the Dorman unit?

They all fail and average, life is 2-3 years with some going well beyond that.

I however have not read of any dorman pmd failures yet?
Angelofishes on ebay is a good vendor and leroy diesel is also great to deal with.

Keep it right behind the license plate as this is hands down the best place for it.
