Oh, and just as an aside, did you ever find that woman friend of yours in North Carolina you were trying to find Cougar?
Wife is doing OK. Healing up slowly.
Oh yes, we found out our friend was safe. Thanks to some friends in the diesel forum community who checked on her. She cleared out to her sisters house just before it hit. She wrote to us later that her house received only a little damage, while other homes in the park where totaled.

The dog has been classifies as a category 4 offender. Which means the dog remains under "house arrest" for the rest of its life. Not allowed to run free ever. The owner has to report the death or transfer of the animal and has to post vicious dog warning signs on their property. If the dog is ever seen running loose, even on the owners property, the dog will be put down.

What does Catagory 4 Offender mean? Has the dog attacked in the past? What happened with the other dogs? Any word?
Glad to hear your wife is doing well!

Category 4 means that any violation of the terms of release will require the animal to be put down. The "terms" basically meaning under physical human control at all times until death. The dog was not know to attack in the past.

The dog gave her the human equivalent to mange. She has mite bites all over. The mites may not have come from the dog, but the bite made her susceptible from other sources. Probably from mosquitoes. After the bite, mosquitoes turned her into a pin cushion.

Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope everything works out for ya'll. Just a word of advice, if it happens again, don't shoot the animal in the head. If the animal's brain is damaged, they can't test for rabies. I would definitely push for the animal that was caught to be killed, screw the house arrest.

That's terrible. I hope it heals and clears up quickly so she can get on with enjoying summer!

Glad to hear she is OK. I know a few women who carry guns, but they throw the in their purse, buried under mountains of tampons, chewing gum and loose change. It really aggravates me that they choose to carry but do so in such a worthless fashion. Not trying to harp on your wife, Im glad she chooses to exercise her 2nd amendment right, but hopefully now she can find a better way to carry.

I have been gripping at her for years about that, but she had to lean it the hard way. She now open carries where she can and waist band carries when it needs to be concealed. I either open carry or use an SOB holster inside the pants.

Cougar, I hope your wife gets over this. We have had a problem where I live with peoples pet "town" dogs praying on our livestock. I have developed a technique for dealing with them we refer to as 3Ss, Shoot, Shovel, and Shut up. This should work for you also, Best wishesRocky
