i'm pretty happy with how my 500 runs, but my buddies 525 will eat it alive...
as for MX, i dont really get into it, i do more trail ridin n IRS is so much better for rippin across rough terrain. i've got 11 inches of ground clearance in the rear vs a straight axles 4. n i dont have any problems makin it slide.

My buddy spent about $6500 total on that white 04 450R including price of the quad. My 05 black one there had about $5500 total, including price of quad. He got his quad a LOT cheaper than mine, but both still pretty inexpensive considering the hardware.

Those 525 KTM motors rip! Is noise an issue where you ride? What type of riding do you do?

Too big for a fast quad? Try a Polaris Sportsman 850 Touring. Its a 2 up quad with over 800 cc, it's a monster and FAST.

I'm over 220 with gear on...

I'm all for loud pipes over here, but just so you know, loud pipes are like the black smoke of the diesel world now, cool to have and do and see, but usually shunned by other riders/drivers in the community.

HMF makes some nice slip ons at a relatively inexpensive price.

Are you looking for full system or just a pipe?

I hate wearing EARPLUGS, cause some guys run open exhaust Nice & quiet is the way I like it, cause you can talk to your friends as you riding
