Alaska pipeline shut in
#15
Each week that the Alaska pipeline is closed, the Oil in inventory declines by 4.48 Million barrels.
There are reports of using a BYPASS Pipeline to bypass the leak that could be in place in a few more days. But the BYPASS will require testing which could require days. Then the oil must reach full capacity GRADUALLY to make sure there are really no problems. This also takes time.
With the inventory as of last week being 20 Million barrels over the average of the prior 5-years, a couple of weeks of zero or partial flow could reduce the over-average by 50% or more.
Furthermor......................... oil demand is climbing globally which could reduce the over-average even more.
This is very bullish for $95 oil.
JUST MY GUESSES!!
