Anybody Transport Cars???

Our log truck brings in around 200k a year with the driver running the 60 hour/week max hours per service. Once we pay him his fair share, then pay fuel, then pay insurance, permits, tags, and maintenance, the truck makes just about enough to get a new set of tires every year.
The driver is buying it outright on January 1....thank god. She's his problem now.

Anybody that has ever been in any aspect of the truckin business know there ain't no money in it. There is to many cutthroats out there and the big companies are the worst of all. People leasing to the big companies are just as responsible for all the problems in trucking as the companies are. It definitely is not a good business to be gettin in right now with the economy so slow and the fuel so high, its just suicide. The guy I was working for has been in it for twelve years and he is barely stayin afloat right now and with winter comin, it certainly will not get any better
