Military Man Needs Used Glow Plugs
Hi Everyone, This afternoon Black Cloud Diesel got this request from a young man we know in the military over in Iraq:
"I have a question for Black Cloud Diesel. Wander if you guys can put out a drive to collect old Glow plugs. ones that still put out some heat, and send them out here in the next month or 2. We have this equipment that uses them and it keeps burning out. and I thought it would be a good way to recycle some old ones and run them all the way out rather then keep getting brand new ones and burning them out in a couple weeks. plus its hard to get our hands on them in a quick manner. Its one more thing to keep us safer out here. take care"
We want to do this for this soldier, so we are going to collect any used but not dead glow plugs, and send them over. We are asking for everyone's help. If you have some you wouldn't mind parting with, you can send them to us at:
Black Cloud Diesel
8836 Edgewater Drive
Amherst Junction, WI 54407
Any questions, call 715-824-5051
If you want to include a note for the soldier, just put it in the box too.

20 years in the supply business of the Army and I can tell you, what supply. You can't get parts over there unless your one of the few high priority units. The rest of the folks are left to their own resources. In my years I spent thousands of my own dollars buying things that were needed to complete the mission. This doesn't include money spent by the 1st seargent, Commander, XO, Mess Steward and many more folks that regularly pulled their wallets out to donate to the local economy.
You always knew when VIP's or the press was comin to town. New uniforms and furniture showed up.

Glow Plugs for Soldier not truck-specific
Hi Everyone,
Just heard back from the soldier. The glow plugs are being used in something, but not a truck, and it doesn't matter which type it is, they are still usable. So, if you have any used but not dead glow plugs, send them and we'll send them to the soldier. Or if you'd rather, give a call, and we could pro'lly hook ya up with his address directly (I'd have to check on that, but I don't think he'd mind.) Thanks

This does sound a bit strange....i think glowplugs are type specific for each motor and not built alike.
