That's kind of implying he drives drunk isn't it? I can get hammered drunk at my house and keep myself from being turned into hamburger on the pavement. Not sure how the two are connected, unless you're insinuating he drinks and drives. To the OP, how long had you made it originally with no smoking? I've found the best way to change my drinking habits is to just get away from everything. I used to drink a LOT with an old room-mate of mine. Even though it was hard to do, I had to move away. It was just an unhealthy situation. We were poison for each other. We still hang out and have a good time every now and then, but that's ok, it's not an every single night thing now. I still drink, but have built some limits for myself and know when it's ok to drink and I know when it's not ok, and maybe only 1 beer is appropriate for the situation. |
I am done with tobacco.
Yeah, where the fawk did that come from?
And don't kid yourself about it not being the nicotine. It is a real physical drug addiction, tied to all those secondary hand-mouth habits. |
This thread makes me want a big ol' dip right now...

Ive chewed for along time! Since i was about 14 years old.. I did quit for over a year and a half by having open cans of Copenhagen sitting pretty much everywhere in my house and I would look at them and will myself to walk out the door. Then after about two weeks of sweating my butt off in a wheat truck the craving where gone.

And to whoever said the shit about taking a picture at an accident of someone splattered on the asphalt, Thats wrong. Morally and professionally as a firefighter. When I get called out for a emergency, the last thing on my fucking mind is taking a picture of a victim like that. If anything, the mental picture you have stuck in your head of a dead body will last longer than the one in your wallet. I do NOT drink and drive, I know my limits, and when I do go out to the bar, I have a DD. I was raised by a family that was big in Law enforcemtn, I have seen my share of aftermath from drunk drivers, I pulled one of my GOOD friends out of a mangled truck 3 days after HS graduation after he decided to get drunk and drive to another party. Please do not lecture me on that subject. |
Sorry bud, meant dip, not smoking! DOH! So you've only gone a few weeks at a time and then start back in again?

Working on 2 weeks tomorrow, I have been using Chantix and this :Mint Snuff herbal chew - non-tobacco chew, quit chewing tobacco, the mint stuff works wonders and smells a hell of a lot better than Cope Long Cut.
Give a quick background: been chewing for 25 years, up to 1.5 cans a day for the last year. Did not know until the other day, do you realize there is something like 1100 mg of salt in every can of chew? How about the same amount of nicotine in one can as there is in 4 packs of cigs? Hang in there, I am not going to lie to you and tell you it gets easier, it just gets a little better.:tu: |
