works on the tractors on the farm but I don't like it.

I've seen them around here with a plow on the front and a huge scraper on the back (way bigger than in the video) and wondered the same thing.

angle the blade so the snow windrows to the side but it still doesn't seem like something that I'd do.

I like it myself. I hate plows on the front of a truck and would never put one on mine. they tear em up to bad. If you think about it, every weld and joint in the design of these trucks are designed to pull, not a single angle or weld on that frame or suspension is put there with the intent of pushing from the front so everything is being pulled out a whack with a front plow.

Then why do they offer Plow Prep packages on all three brands?

Because the dealers offer it doesn't make it right for your truck in any way shape or form.
