Oh to find a deal like that around here. And not to have neighbours close by, priceless.

IC Smoke 07-07-2008 08:34 PM

:argh: called on it today...... sold:madd:

akguppy 07-07-2008 09:38 PM

Shoot, that'd be a 3-million dollar home here.

Blue01F250 07-07-2008 11:53 PM

Good lord those are BOTH great deals!!!

There is a 3 bdroom mound house (built into a hill) on 10 acres (most of it is not usable as building space b/c its sloped, house is on a plateau) with a lagoon for sewage and they are asking $179K!!! that is in the middle of Oklahoma with NO other buildings...

so yah -- I'd jump on either of those houses you were talking about for the asking price and be happy I got it for less if that were the case :)

jstange2 07-08-2008 09:06 PM

Now that looks like a good deal!!!! :U:

*update*

apparently the lady at the bank was canned or quit... anyways a new guy is in and wants to rid the house, he called the selling Realtor whom called our Realtor and we made another offer. Hopefully we will hear back by friday:rocking:

IC Smoke 05-17-2009 08:20 PM

over a year later the bank is supposedly taking our offer 100K with 6% back, Rural Development loan, no down payment, no PMI required and 5.0%, and best of all we qualify for the "First Time home buyers" tax credit so $8K comes back to us thanks to Obama.

Im not holding my breath after all the other drama but we'll have to wait and see. The bank signing off is supposed to have the papers signed by Tuesday so hopefully things will go quick:rocking:

dam that is a nice house for that price. for that pond in the back. grow some lily pads and stock it with bass and bluegill. every few weeks put some minnows in there to feed the fish. you will have a nice fishing pond soon after that

Only that house would cost 600k here in Iceland, to me that looks like a CRAZY deal...

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

ok, i went and checked.... how come all these houses are this cheap?

80% cheaper than similar in Iceland..... that's just crazy....

IC Smoke 05-18-2009 12:03 PM

Thanks!

us economy is in the toilet and Michigan is about the worst! Hillsdale county where Im located has a 18% unemployment rate last I heard, and the state is up to 11% I think could be higher now... Ill have to check.

The small farming communities around here have suffered hardcore! most farmers work in factories or shops and just about all have closed there doors in the area. It sucks!

My wife (HS teacher for 3 years) and 15 others in her school have been cut this year... well received a pink slip so she is out of a job. Any my brother whom is a head hunter in Arizona got the axe along with 49 others in the company :ouch:
