I'd bet that bike weighs more then most of the cars over there and some of the trucks. The next question now, what do you do with the driver and any passengers that were in the car, leav em standin roadside.

When it comes to getting stuck cars out of cogested traffic, it makes a darn lot of sense to me.

Split lanes to the car, tow it out of the street. If it's going far wait until a real tow truck gets there.

Idea being to reduce the response time of a big tow truck. Anybody see the size of the shoulders that have in Japan?

Most of Japan is so overpopulated that it makes down Chicago look like Green Acres. If a car stalled you wouldn't get a wrecker passed the traffic to even get to it. That's why everybody drives motorcycles and scooters, just to get around. They have cars for the bad weather days that are frequent but that's the only time they drive them. I don't know what the current economy is like, it was years ago I was through there but even way back then gas was over $5 per gallon and a stop at McDonalds for lunch ran the equivalent of $12 for most meals. Needless to say we stuck to the base as much as possible, nothin there worth that much trouble and money to see.
