Default Intake Failure *Caution*

Anyone else had this happen yet?

This aftermarket intake plenum, exploded on the Dyno an hour ago, hit the underside of the hood, deflected off the hood just missing the tech and still had the speed to hit the 20ft ceiling of our shop. Crazy!!

Truck was a 12 Valve with twins making about 50-60PSI at the time.

Something serious to consider for you guys running dyno's.

That was a faulty casting. It appears that they either left out part of the curing process or didnt complete the heat treat.

Nope, but shear and tear forces don't care who built the product or what it is.

I would rather not mention the brand on here, my intentions are to caution the techs that are running the dyno with these with this type of intake on the trucks.

I can relate to protecting you against the products you buy so if you must know what brand it was, please PM me.
