Default R700 Upgrade

Dave, I was wondering if there will ever be an R700 kit for the 2nd gens? I know I can make a 3rd gen set fit but what all will come in the upgrade kit? Is it just the turbo and hot pipe??

Yes, eventually when the R&D table frees up we will release the 2nd gen kit, I do not have an ETA yet though. The upgrade kit will include the turbo, intake pipe, reducer sleeve, clamp, bracket and oil drain hose.

Thanks for the info Dave. I'm already thinking about more air . Will there be a big difference between the 2nd gen and 3rd gen kits?

No worries, the set-ups will be identical with some changes made for fit and finish concerns, that's about it.

As far as I know, the 3rd gen kit will fit on the 5 and 6 speed 2nd gens. The auto trucks have a heat exchanger on the passenger side of the block that has to be removed and deleted in order to fit the kit. If you do that, you should be good to go.

Dave, correct me if I am wrong.

I have discussed the install with a few guys who have put them on 2nd gen auto's and manual transmissions but have not done any myself... first hand.

The heat exchanger is definitly an issue on the auto but of course not on the manual. The guys that I have had feedback from all had different issues none of which were very difficult to over come, some fitting tweaks as the tolerances are tight and vary a bit from truck to truck an intake tube reducer sleeve is needed, that was can supply and I believe some oil supply or drain fittings.

Jason, how did you discussion go with JT or all you still talking to him LOL
