2 stroke oil
#51
The 12 valve loves it. Should be no problem. I know of a vender here that had a 1st gen 12 valve and he burned his used filtered motor oil in his truck. I don't think you have to worry.

Usually I hear of people using an ounce per gallon. Wal Mart here has deals on gallon jugs of the 2 stroke outboard oil, whats the difference between that and regular 2 stroke ?

Hmm,
the slit is normal in a two stroke engine...
It is a common pratice in africa to replace 2-stroke oil with used engine oil, because 2-stroke is either not available or too expensive.
Of course I know 2-stroke engines and 4 strokes are not comparable. But engine oil can not come close to replace the lubing capabilities of 2-stroke oil.
It seems just just to be a good way to dispose waste oil.
On the other hand the IP has the closest tolerances in the diesel engine.
I have difficulties to believe that there are people using a dilluted fluid in their IP. Even filtered you won't get a clean fluid, or appears the waste oil clear again when filtered?
And we know that particles around 1 micron do the most damage, do we?
Africa is one of the best testing grounds available, because people change oil very rarely, if ever.
The next point is that you never know whats inside the bottle. Showing 10W 40 does not mean it is inside the bottle.
