AirDog problem.

Other than the sneeze reported above, I'm very satisfied so far. I do have to criticize the fittings a bit though. They need to be made out of stainless for us guys that have to drive on salted roads in the winter, and I'd like to see those fittings made in America (the ones in my kit have a Chinese accent). Other than that, it all seems to be a quality product and the truck runs great with it.

AirDog
Hi guys, I can only say that although it took a little time begging rides while my truck was busted, now that the fuel issue is fixed, it was worth the wait. I had to do some testing and engineering on my own to get it dialed in, but she now idles @ 18 psi and not drop below 14 no matter where the throttle is or what I'm pulling on. for the guys and gals at AirDog .

Having same issue with an Airdog-2 on a 06 Duramax LBZ.
Too be fair this was installed by original owner at Preble County Diesel in 2006 and truck now has 185K.
Also at that time Preble installed "Live-Wire" with 5 position switch, 5" exhaust from motor, K+N air intake system.
I bought it at 139K and it WAS a rocket and pulled 5th wheel RV trailer like they not back there...... I was hauling R/V's since retirement as a 32 year Postal fleet tech.
Now leased as a Hot-Shot owner operator I am Licensed at 35K#s and am at 18 K# empty with a 40' JP Dovetail trailer that stays attached 24/7 365days a year.
At around 160K miles I noticed the pump getting louder and power starting to drop.THEN the "Low fuel Rail PSI" codes started on long pulls in 5th gear on hills.
Had to by a code reader and keep it in left hand too clear codes anytime I held gears too long before dropping too 4th or nursing/pedaling throttle.
Ordered a fuel rail popvalve shim kit and installed.
Some improvement but still setting fuel rail code.
Then Airdog pump went silent.....Found fuse blown.
Replaced fuse and tapped on pump.
Ran till next restart and blew another fuse.
Loosened rear armature cover to chuck armature brushes and fuel started pouring out with a strong elec burnt smell.
Ordered new Motor and "cover(?)" and water separator ws-100.
Have replaced filter next to it 4 times thinking I had bad fuel.
Sucks hauling freight at 60 mph in 4th gear on slight grades when I used to run 65+ up most at 30,000 lbs+.......
Waiting on UPS driver.
Hope to change out motor without system removal.
Fuel lines look like a be-otch to loosen.
Can I us needle nose to gently pinch blue fuel lines to prevent fuel gravity flow bath?
Or will it not be an issue replacing pump motor?
Any U-Tube vid links on this yet?
Thanks,
GoPostal (Steve French)
