I think we are for the most part preaching from the same book here. I think at the end of the day if one guys says 10 and another says 13 well, that's opinion. Of course being always someone that will not throw caution to the wind I'll go with 13.

I remember when my truck was stock aside from an air intake and the pressure in 2 months went from 13 at WOT to 7 to 6 and then to 4. Killed both the OEM pumps. Replaced with 2nd VP44 and another LP. Killed that next LP, installed a FASS 150 and some gauges and even now some 5 years later, big sticks, COMP, smarty and such it never goes below 11 whilst my boost is pushing 34 and my EGT's are up around 1300... Good enough for me.

Exactly where I was going with it Wyatt. The factory pumps are unrelaible, Never really designed for diesel use or high vibration in the first place. With a off the show room floor truck, 7-10 would probably be fine is all i was trying to say.

Mine's empty too but it because of other things. My list of upgrades for the Cummins is still TWINS and a real nice clutch but the A/C is bummed and the fan is screwed up and the E-brake doesn't work anymore. Oh did I mention the rust on the drivers door and the need for bumpers and a new long box? Oh well, it's a truck that is paid for and owes me nothing. It isn't a daily driver anymore so it will be ok for a while in the state that it is.

Like I said before it's a slippery slope.

13 psi is not a terrible pressure by any means. However, if you would like to get a couple more pounds out of your AirDog, you can install a 17 psi spring to replace the 15 psi that is sent in the pump from the factory. This should give you a couple pounds more pressure at your VP pump. This spring is available from your local AirDog dealer or directly from us, and is easy to install. Feel free to give me a call if you have any other questions.
