Default Experience with MKM Custom's Tune Service.

I recently bought an X3 from them, shipped quick and it comes with 3 custom tunes..

I got it 3 days later and ordered my tunes.. I figured "Wow!" IT only took 3 days to get it, time to get to setting a tune on it!! Little did I know their tunes take 48 hours longer then anyone else to deliver them or even to start on them. They promise them 2-3 days for delivery on tunes which is A LONG TIME compared to the other tune shops like IDP which believe in the same day as pay theory.

I called on the afternoon of the third day and asked if maybe they had lost my email address, turns out they didn't and they haven't even started on my tunes. They told me they would have them by that night.

I called at 5:45pm on the third day and asked if they were ready, they said they had just started on them and that they would be done either later that day or the next morning. Now why did I order a $375 tuner just to have it sit in my truck for what is now 3 days. I bought a paper weight.

I came into work today (4th day) and guess what..? No tunes..... I waited until around 10am until they finally got here, put my tune on and my truck runs like it has 3 down injectors and a slipping transmission made of jello..

Horrible customer service, The people are rude and when I told IDP about how long they were taking and if they were any good, IDP laughed in my face..

Never go with MKM Customs, I now will only deal with IDP and eric who works there..

Thats unfortunate to hear, I know for a fact quicktricks emails their tunes same day along with IDP. Love my innovative tunes but I would only go direct to the tuner

I don't care if it's $400 part or a $20 part, poor customer service isn't right.

Gear Heads sent the tunes as soon as the funds cleared. In fact, I didn't send Matt all of the information he needed and he was sending me emails asking about it.

I am sad I went with MKM instead of Innovative, I definitely know who my choice won't be next time!

Elite is a top notch Ford place, but I don't know many using their tunes. They seem to have more tunes on trucks they've actually had their hands on or sold a ton of parts too. I'd be interested to see how they work out and how quick they are... my guess is not quick, but I'd like to know. They build some ridiculously awesome powerstrokes. Watching a 2.6 puller build on PSA recently from them.... insane some of the work they do. They're building it to turn 5000-5500 RPMs.
