that's sexy i just bought a plate-fin transcooler, it accomodates 1/2 in line with like a 900 cfm fan...i'm hoping it'll keep up with my transmission but idk if that'd even be enough to keep up with the aftercooler. i'm sure itd be enough to cool it back down after a pass, or a pull on the dyno but a continuous climb up a hill it'd probably fall behind. maybe if you were to increase the capacity of the system that way it isnt needing to recycle coolant gallon for gallon that flows thru the aftercooler.

Are you working on off-road equipment? I haven't seen a semi with anything other than an air-to-air cooler for a while.

I theorize that the performance increase comes from the fan-shape of it allowing air to spread to all of the cylinders more evenly as much as it comes from the aftercooling affect.

yes we work mostly on industrial engines 3400 cats, QSK cummins, mostly out of minimg equipment, but we will work on anything, just got done rebuilding a v465 wisconson on a stump grinder, it's nice to work on a little engine from time to time

Thanks for the replies guys!! I think im gonna just hook it in to the engine coolant and try it that way. I have every thing 2 do it just the ambition. LOL gonna do some test runs with current air to air first im gonna install a boost gauge before the air to air so i can record the pressure drop. and compare with the air to water. I lucked into this one on e-bay picked it up for $150.00 very good shape as are the lines.
